What is an air stone diffuser?
Air stones, also called air diffusers are porous stones that are an effective way to introduce gas into water.
What can it be used for?
The stone diffuser can be used with your ozone generator. The ozone is pumped from the ozone generator through the outlet tube to the porous stone and the stone diffuses the ozone (O3) into the liquid in the form of little tiny bubbles. Many people use the stone diffuser with their ozone generator to clean vegetables, oils, water and other liquids. Some people like to keep a spare stone diffuser to be used for other liquids.
How does it work?
The process infuses or transfers gas into water and bubble stone diffusers are an inexpensive and popular way of doing this. The most effective way to transfer ozone into water is to use a high quality diffuser with very fine pore size, smaller bubbles gives you more transfer!
What diffuser stone do we use?
We have recently upgraded this product and selected a high quality 100% glass bonded silica diffuser which has a maximum pore size of 80 microns, specially designed for ozonating water.
What size is the stone diffuser?
The stone diffuser is 35mm x 12mm x 12mm (1 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch)
What plastic is the outlet tube made off?
Due to the nature of ozone some materials and plastics are not recommended, some plastics can break down or corrode over time, we carefully chose silicon as it is highly resistant to ozone.
How long is the hose?
Each pack is supplied with 1 meter length of hose, of course this can be cut down to your own preferred size.
Can it be used with ozone generator?
This stone and tube is for our 600mg/hour machine. It may well work with your machine but we cannot guarantee the hose will fit.
